Creatine phosphate is an important energy source for muscles during short, intense efforts. Chronic creatine supplementation increases the creatine(phosphate) levels in muscles, which can improve performance in short maximal efforts, especially when these efforts are done in an interval pattern. There are few to no reported side effects of creatine supplementation. However, creatine loading often results in an average weight gain of 1-2 kg (mainly water), but this can be higher in some individuals or may not occur at all. Some athletes may report decreased mobility due to increased muscle tone when using creatine. It is also often suggested that creatine supplementation could lead to muscle cramps, but no scientific evidence has confirmed this to date.

Mix 3g (=1 scoop) of powder daily in ≥150ml water for 8-12 consecutive weeks.
